Okay, so yesterday was crap. I really had a hard time getting into my dissertation. I spent most of the morning distracting myself. We then went to our neighbor's house. It was the twins' birthdays. Hubby left to visit the parents and then I finally got into my groove. I organized all of my dissertation papers, so that was a good start. Today I have been on the LOST chatboard a few times and am printing out articles. I've really got to beef up my paper with some more info.
I'm still disorganized, but I'm getting there. Yesterday I couldn't focus at all and didn't know where to pick up. Today I will print these things out, read them, and then attempt the first section's re-write. Then I think I'll be ready to add a bunch to the literature history section tomorrow. I think I'll need more articles, though.

Today is Day 1
Okay, so I figure I've been a slacker lately. I thought that if I kept track of everything in writing that it might help me keep on track. I've got to lose a few or more pounds, I've got to get organized for next semester's courses, and I've GOT to get this damn dissertation done. So, it's December 29, 2007 at 4:54 pm. These goals can count as New Year's Resolutions. Heck, no problem with starting a few days early, eh?
So, I'm trying to figure out how to use End Note. When the guys at school showed it to me, it looked easy. Now I'm on the ACM and can't get the damn thing imported. One question I always have about the ACM Digital Library is: WHY IS THEIR SEARCH SO CRAPPY? When I know there is an article on the ACM site, I don't even bother to use the search. I just go into Google and then go from there. Strange, isn't it? I asked the guys at school if they knew what I was talking about and they've confirmed the same problems.
I've been using scholar.google.com a lot. It's a nifty little site.
